According to Wikipedia RSS,Really Simple Syndication is a web feed format used to publish frequently updated content such as blog entries, news headlines, podcasts, or video updates in a standardized, machine-readable way. WE then can subscribe to an RSS feed using a reader.

In our EDU 522 Class I utilize Inoreader as my RSS Feed Reader and then embed the feed into Blackboard. Every day I wake up, make a cup of coffee and fire up my reader to catch up on all the happenings.

Since 2010-2013 social media feeds started to play a more dominant role in determining what we read, Yet these feeds are driven by algorithms. The dopamine and cortisol hits of rage baiting became addictive. Feel good stories of upworthy replaced long form writing.

It is time for an RSS renaissance. Who are your favorite teacher bloggers that you want to add to your feed?
