Displaying Pingbacks in Blogger

When I am reviewing work in an RSS driven classroom I often send a reply from my Blog rather than using the reply/comment feature of someone’s blog.

For learners using Blogger you can display these pingbacks as comments. Here is how:

In Blogger (Blogspot), pingbacks are a type of comment generated when another blog links to your post

.To display them on your blog, you need to enable the “Allow link notifications from other blogs (pingbacks and trackbacks)” option in your settings. Here’s how to show pingbacks on your Blogger blog:

  1. Access your Blogger dashboard: Log in to your Blogger account.
  2. Navigate to Settings: Click on the “Settings” option in the left-hand menu of your Blogger dashboard. 3.Go to Discussion settings: Look for a section related to “Discussion,” “Posts, Comments and sharing,” or similar. The exact wording might vary slightly depending on your Blogger theme.
  3. Enable pingbacks and trackbacks: Locate the option that allows “link notifications from other blogs (pingbacks and trackbacks)”.
  4. Check the box: Ensure the box next to this option is checked to enable pingbacks.
  5. Save your changes: Click on the “Save Changes” button or equivalent to apply the settings
